Slaked Lime

Slaked lime is produced by adding water to quicklime, causing the quicklime to react strongly with the water, releasing heat. The calcium oxide (quicklime) turns into calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), also known as slaked lime. The end product is dry, powder-like flour and light in color.

Nordkalk’s brand for slaked lime is Nordkalk SL.
