Nordkalk Corporation is improving its customer service by integrating Sales, Logistics, Shipping and Sales and Operations Planning into one Commercial function. The new Commercial and Logistics function will be led by Mikael Furu, who is appointed new Chief Commercial Officer. Mikael has worked at Nordkalk since 2009, most recently as Chief Supply Chain Officer. He has a strong experience in logistics, key account management and sales, and he knows Nordkalk’s products well. In his new role, Mikael will continue to be a member of the management team. The previous Chief Commercial Officer Tomas Eriksson will leave Nordkalk.
Current Corporate Purchasing, which has been part of the Supply Chain, will become Group Procurement. A new Chief Procurement Officer, Nicklas Bergström is appointed to lead the function. He will also become a member of the Nordkalk Management Team. Nicklas has a strong experience in procurement from pulp & paper and chemical industries, including limestone and quicklime.

In addition, the changes will ensure that the targets set out in the on-going transformation programme are achieved,” comments CEO Paul Gustavsson. The programme was initiated in the beginning of this year in order to improve Nordkalk’s performance and profitability.
