April training in company of gentlemen
In the beginning of April, I headed towards Algarve in Portugal for yet another training session. Algarve is about 2.5 hours from Lisbon by car. I'm staying at Englishman Steven's flat in a very manly company. In addition to Steven, I am sharing the flat with two guys from Ireland, another man from England and Vesa from Finland. Vesa has earned the second country place for Finland to the Olympics, but he is yet to be nominated to represent Finland.
We will stay in Algarve for a week, after which I will be heading towards Brazil together with my Irish flatmates. The weather has been favourable here, so much so that we have been able to walk around in shorts. Shorts will definitely be the piece of clothing to be used also in Rio as the weather forecast for Rio is +30 centigrade and more. It is always nice to shoot when it's warm, I don't have any problems with heat. You just have to remember to drink a lot of water, because in that kind of temperatures, you are sure to get sweaty. I have had about the same tempo in shooting as before; 10-13 rounds a day. One round is 25 clay pigeons or "birds". Good shots and plenty of broken birds as an outcome. With such result, it is nice to move on to the next stop.
Next letter will be coming from the World Cup in Rio.
