This result places Nordkalk among the top 5 percent of more than 85.000 companies assessed by EcoVadis. Nordkalk’s score for 2021 assessment is 72/100 (2020: 68/100), which is higher or equal to the score of 98% of all companies rated by EcoVadis within our industry (Quarrying of stone, sand and clay).

Out of the four sustainability themes (Environment, Labor & Human rights, Ethics and Sustainable procurement) assessed by EcoVadis, Nordkalk performed the best in the Environmental part with a score of 80/100. Labor & Human rights and Ethics parts were as well assessed to be on an advanced level. Clear improvement was shown also on Sustainable procurement part.

"Our efforts in enhancing the Sustainability reporting were also noted by EcoVadis. In 2021, we published our first GRI-compliant sustainability report, which was assured by a third party. This kind of reporting increases the transparency of our activities and makes it easier for our customers and other external stakeholders to assess our performance”, Håkan Pihl states.
