Nordkalk monitors the international situation regarding the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and continuously assesses the situation and its possible impact on our operations. At this moment, there is no impact on Nordkalk’s operations or ability to deliver. If the situation changes, we will update the information immediately.
Nordkalk continuously follows WHO’s and the local authorities’ recommendations regarding the virus and updates the instructions accordingly. Our own personnel’s and our partners’ safety is our first priority, and we do our best to secure customer deliveries also in this exceptional situation
As a precaution, Nordkalk is implementing a temporary practice of asking visitors (customers, contractors, truck drivers etc.) about their health condition. So if you are about to visit, or planning a visit to a Nordkalk location, please be prepared to answer questions. If you have symptoms of a flu or cold, we will not grant you access to Nordkalk sites until further notice.
For the time being, we don’t allow any external visitors in our control rooms or offices. Therefore, we also advice transport companies to primarily call in case they need assistance or have questions.
In order to limit the spread of the virus, we have enhanced hand hygiene and instructed our personnel to avoid any face to face contacts. Face masks are worn according to local authorities recommendations.
All the employees who can, are asked to work from home and meetings are organised online whenever possible.
International and domestic travelling has been restricted to the very minimum.
We kindly ask for your understanding. These actions have been taken in order to contribute to limit further spread of the virus. Nordkalk apologizes for any inconvenience these actions may cause.
