Nordkalk's high quality limestone-based products are used at different stages of various processes in the mining, metal and steel industries.

Our products are used in regulating the pH value in the mining industry's flotation processes, in the metal industry's metals recovery processes and in raising the pH value of waste waters.

Our high quality limestone-based products are also used in most stages in the manufacture of steel: in making iron ore pellets and in sintering, in the blast furnace processes and in removing sulphur and other harmful components from pig iron and steel.

Metals & Mining at Your service

Nordkalk's division Metals & Mining is responsible for all mining, metal and steel customers. We are selling limestone-based products to many substancial key customers in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Poland. Our emphasis is to service our customers by offering segment specific products and services.

The division operates dedicated lime kilns in Luleå, Pargas and Raahe. On top of that we sell Nordkalk products from our 20 other production units around the Baltic Sea.
